WHO THIS CLINIC IS FOR

Sports medicine for every level

Most injuries here come from everyday active life: a weekend game, a new gym routine, or a run that ended sooner than planned. You do not need to be a professional athlete.

Recreational and weekend players

CRICKET · FOOTBALL · BADMINTON · RUNNING

Twisted knees on turf, rolled ankles on court, a shoulder that aches after a long bowling spell. Injuries from the sport you play for the love of it deserve the same rigour as any professional's.

Gym and fitness injuries

STRENGTH · FUNCTIONAL · OVERUSE

Strains and tears from lifting, overuse pain after sudden jumps in training load, and the shoulder that clicks under the bar. An accurate diagnosis decides whether you rest, rehab or repair.

Season-critical decisions need clear timelines. Diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation are planned as one sequence, coordinated with your physiotherapist and your calendar.

THE RETURN TO PLAY PATHWAY

Five stages between injury and your first game back

Every sports injury at this clinic moves through the same disciplined sequence. No stage is skipped, and surgery is never the starting point.

  1. STAGE / 01

    Acute care

Settle pain and swelling first: protection, ice, compression and honest guidance on what to stop doing right away.

  2. STAGE / 02

    Accurate diagnosis

Clinical examination first, imaging where it changes the decision. Naming the exact structure that failed, so the plan targets the real problem.

  3. STAGE / 03

    Conservative first

Physiotherapy, load management and injections where indicated. Many sports injuries recover without an operation.

  4. STAGE / 04

    Surgery only when indicated

When a structure will not heal on its own, arthroscopic keyhole repair, explained clearly before you decide anything.

  5. STAGE / 05

    Staged return with physiotherapy

Rehabilitation milestones, strength benchmarks and follow-up reviews until you are back on the field and playing with confidence.

COMMON SPORTS INJURIES

The injuries this clinic sees most

Different sports, similar failures. These four patterns account for most of the sports injury work at the clinic.

A footballer changing direction sharply, stressing the knee

Ligament tears

KNEE · ACL / PCL

Sudden pivots and awkward landings can tear the ACL or PCL. A pop at the moment of injury, swelling within hours and a knee that no longer feels trustworthy are the classic signs.

Knee treatments

Meniscus injuries

KNEE · MEDIAL / LATERAL

Twisting on a planted foot can catch the meniscus between the joint surfaces. Locking, clicking and pain along the joint line deserve a proper assessment before you play again.

Knee treatments

Shoulder instability

SHOULDER · OVERHEAD SPORTS

Bowlers, throwers, swimmers and racquet players load the shoulder at its extremes. A dislocation that keeps recurring, or a shoulder that feels loose overhead, should not be ignored.

Shoulder treatments

Sprains and strains

ANKLE · MUSCLE · TENDON

Most sprains settle with protection and progressive loading. The ones that keep coming back, or never quite settle, need a closer look at what is actually injured.

BEFORE ANY OPERATION

Non-surgical treatment comes first

Most sports injuries in this clinic never reach an operating theatre. Treatment starts with the simplest option that can genuinely work.

  • Physiotherapy: the clinic partners with an in-house physiotherapy setup, so rehabilitation starts under the same roof and stays coordinated with your surgeon.
  • Injections where indicated: targeted injections can settle inflammation and give a structure time to heal. Used selectively, never as a routine.
  • Load management: structured rest and a graded training plan often fix what complete rest cannot. You get a clear plan of what to do at each stage, with the reasoning behind it.

And if surgery does become necessary, the groundwork still counts: the diagnosis is already precise, and rehabilitation continues from where it left off.
